The Black List

Besides lying about used products to begin with and saying they are new, there is also a consistent pattern of covering up the truth by Ebay sellers. They always ask for you to change feedback in their seller’s profiles that are public and only will issue a refund if you do so. This is feedback extortion really, but Ebay just allows the sellers to do anything they want. If you don’t change your feedback or ask too many questions about where things come from, you then get banned by the Ebay seller- often without just cause- which Ebay also allows sellers to do without justification. Most often I’ve been banned right after refusing to rescind feedback about used products, but sometimes it is just because of word of mouth or perhaps shop owners own other shops that I’ve left feedback with.

Conspiracy? If you say an item is new, but over 80% of the time with over 1,000 items I’ve checked personally under a dissecting scope, it isn’t- and the other 20% is only because of benefit of the doubt, there is a greater problem that needs to be addressed, and not just cover up and do individual refunds.

People deserve to know the truth, and those whom tell the truth, shouldn’t be the ones being punished. If that is the way the “system” works- to protect wrongdoers and punish law abiding citizens who care about others- there is a real problem with the entire system, not just one online seller nor just the Chinese.

screenshotoffeedbackaa

I’ve also included this screenshot of my Ebay profile which clearly shows that I’m not just some dead beat bidder who has gotten banned from all these shops because of legitimate reasons. I pay these people and I pay on time, I’m not just trying to harass them, and even if I leave negative feedback- I always try to be fair and look at the physical evidence beforehand. The negative feedback is from 3 people- all from China’s mainland- who placed paintings I had for sale in their shopping carts, but never paid for them. I emailed them a number of times and sent several invoices, but then I cancelled their orders since they never paid after a week, but then they were still able to leave bad feedback on my profile over the deal. Ebay said since I didn’t open up “Unpaid Claims” cases against them instead of cancelling their orders, that their feedback stays on my profile forever, though I never did anything wrong and I was the one who never got paid.

The other shops this same seller also runs are:  tradeworld2015, maaqii, hidream2011, and bettergoods88 and possibly even a couple more shops that I didn’t order from so can’t say for sure that the addresses all match- but only the shop maaqii hasn’t banned me.

  • Reason They Banned Me: For leaving feedback on Ebay stating their items were used (see screen capture below). Typically the Chinese response to them being caught red-handed selling used good as brand new- even if you show them pictures- is that you, the buyer, are confused &/or don’t know how the items were made, or they just say it was a one time mistake. But when they consistently sell used goods and lie about them, time and time again, then cover up the truth as well as try to censor any other comments being said, there is a REAL problem that is beyond being the fault of the buyer’s ignorance, confusion or just damage that happened during shipping.

  • Goods They Sell: newer lower end jewelry with agates, Tibetan settings, semi-precious stones
  • Reason They Banned Me: For leaving feedback saying items were used, one even had a loose bead stuck in the back from the cleaning process and for saying they lied about items being sterling silver
  • Date: Prior to December 2015

This particular dealer has some serious feedback issues because the items that they are selling never were the greatest quality to begin with. Tibetans are poor people who often don’t have the money to spend on real gemstones and real silver- therefore most of their jewelry are fake stones in settings that are just silver plated. These pieces of jewelry weren’t great, and after being worn for a while then confiscated and cleaned, they are in even worse shape. Here’s what some of the other customers had to say about these items:

“Item has crack inside” “The ring arrived me damaged. Shop owner told me to reshape it.” “ring broken, no three beads, seller does’nt resolve problem without case” “Beware!! Stones are fake! Metal settings are all bent! Bad communication” “settings in bracelet damaged coming out of silver” “not real !!! fell apart coming out of the bag. Very dissatisfied. No more.” “The setting is clearly missing a stone. I have tried to talk to them no result.” “item arrived broken. Round top piece broke off.” “Stone broke in shipping – poor packaging. Seller said “natural flaw” :(” “are are scratches. it’s a fake. not sapphire” “iron. scratches. dirt. abrasions. Not amethyst! FAKE garbage” “Beautiful necklace but arrived broken can’t wear it” “BEWARE=BROKEN FAKE ITEMS,ARROGANT LAIR SELLER DONT RESOLVE ISSUE,NO MONEY BACK” “Defective item-seller wanted me to return at my time/expense& refund wks later”

Even with almost 800 negative feedbacks within the last 12 months alone this seller can just keep selling without having to tell the truth though they’ve been caught lying and cheating customers time and time again. This is because of the tremendous volume of business they do with almost 180,000 feedbacks within the last 12 months total- most people are apparently unaware that the silver isn’t silver, the gemstones aren’t gemstones and the items themselves aren’t even new or at least didn’t speak up about it.

Ebay Shop Name: jlme1818

  • Reason They Banned Me: for leaving feedback saying their items were used, items were scratched and chipped “Used- patches of old patina & dirt/skin flakes/mold(?) inside bracelet crevasses”, “Obviously used- reflective coating on stones badly scratched, stones chipped”, “Says it is new- it is not, it is an eagle- not an owl & missing coin earring”-this item was a necklace and earring set to which an entire earring was MISSING, to which the seller responded:
    • Reply by jlme1818 (Nov-09-15 17:00):

You left so much negative feedback for sellers. Why? please be honest. Thanks!

I guess the fact that they are selling used items as brand new and repeatedly lying about it has nothing to do with them! Just didn’t quite get the fact that what they are doing is actually ILLEGAL and is called “fraudulent misrepresentation” and they were actually supposed to feel bad about lying and stealing from others. All of the dealers when caught red-handed lying about Tibetan items have this same attitude of “What? Me? What did I do?” It is a fantastic technique used to avoid responsibility if you can’t even see any wrong in your actions and totally deny it, even when items are completely missing even.

  • Reason They Banned Me: No idea, however I have purchased similar items in a similar stores and told them they were used, maybe the same seller. Maybe the same seller as  socool888 whom I also have been banned by, who has similar items for sale.

Ebay Shop Name: tradeworld2015

  • Location: Shenzhen, China
  • Goods They Sell: Lower end jewelry, modern knick knacks and odds and ends
  • Reason They Banned Me: Left feedback saying their items were used, and also caught this same seller running 5 different Ebay shops that all carry similar items. This not only floods the market with their goods, it also creates an illusion of a free market where sellers compete with each other, when really, there isn’t one. The other shops this same seller also runs are: 2013goelec, maaqii, hidream2011, and bettergoods88 and possibly even a couple more shops that I didn’t order from so can’t say for sure that the addresses all match- but only the shop maaqii hasn’t banned me.

Ebay Shop Name: vogueonline999

  • Location: Zhejiang, China
  • Goods They Sell: Loose beads, mainly more modern faceted crystals and handblown glass beads sold as “Murano”. All these supposedly Italian handblown glass beads that I’ve purchased are probably made in China &/or Tibet and are all used, not new. They must be extremely popular with younger women by the numbers of them for sale.

Ebay Shop Name: wggc5785

Ebay Shop Name: williamseminerio

  • Location: Fort Worth, TX
  • Goods They Sell: Tibetan Charms, pendants including bone, perhaps craft fabrics also came from same shipment of ill gotten goods
  • Reason They Banned Me: For leaving feedback saying that they had misrepresented Tibetan bone pendants as being “African Free Trade”, Ebay also removed this feedback from their seller profile saying that it violated their policies. Not sure what this means, but they certainly did cover up the fact this seller lied about used items, and let them continue to lie about them and sell them as brand new to unsuspecting customers.

Ebay Shop Name: zzqtk

  • Location: China
  • Goods They Sell: Antiques
  • Reason They Banned Me: Left negative feedback saying an item had gravel in cracks “The gravel in the cracks leaves no doubt where this came from- the grave!”
  • Date: Prior to December 2015
  • Notes: This seller apparently just took off with a bunch of people’s money without delivering the goods in March 2016, right before they stopped delivering goods they were posting outrageously expensive antiques that were for sale in other shops for Buy It Now prices of several hundred dollars, without any reserve and a starting price of $0.99 or less. Because I “knew” the seller before, I believe this is something that the Chinese Communists in charge of the sales of the antiques may even encourage purposefully as a way of keeping prices low and eroding buying confidence- so they aren’t caught selling out their country so low by someone with half a brain. But maybe they were just tired of their job, who knows? They had over 3,000 feedback ratings just within the past year, so they were doing a booming business well over 1/2 a million in sales probably.

& The cover up continues!I never know that I’ve been banned or that shops have gotten my truthful feedback concerning their misrepresented products removed until I try to bid again or message the shop, Ebay doesn’t give me notice and refuses to give me a list of these sellers, so lord knows how many other dealers are out there. I’ve tried repeatedly to get Ebay to look into these dealers, and though they sounded very formal and said they would at first, I questioned them on the third phone call about their security team or if they had anyone there that I could speak with whose job it was to work on law enforcement issues and they said they had none.

Part of the problem here is that there are clearly Chinese sellers who are running more than one Ebay shop. Though they can protect themselves against what they might consider to be “bad bidders”, as a buyer, I have no way of knowing who is running which shop and how many they have. Therefore if I have a problem with a seller- who say, is lying about items and selling used goods as brand new, I can’t just ban all of their stores and quit purchasing from them, since I have no idea of knowing exactly how many they have and who runs them.

And this is how Ebay’s system works. Makes a lot of money for Ebay, all those multiple shops carrying the same used items being lied about time and time again, and they don’t care where it came from, as long as they get their cut.

The only recourse for the lying, cheating, deceiving and outright STEALING that is going on day after day that Ebay has given me is to write a letter to the headquarters stating my concern for the Tibetan and Chinese people. I believe that their actions have not only been negligent in protecting consumers, but criminal, and that they should be responsible for paying back every cent of what they’ve earned from countless generations of Chinese and Tibetans who were robbed of everything they have and even had their ancestor’s graves desecrated for a few measly bucks.

SHAME ON YOU EBAY!! It should be COURT mandated that you hire actual law enforcement personnel to look into the organized crime(s) on your website that you’ve provided the venue and tools to rob millions of everything they have.

No clue where this photo was taken. Doesn't look like the Philippines to me.

But according to Ebay’s help line based in the Philippines, Ebay doesn’t even know what Tibetan jewelry looks like and certainly doesn’t have anyone who is paid to take care of fraud and security issues. It seems they just issue refunds to smooth out any “misunderstandings” just like the Chinese do, and never look into the underlying causes of the problems.

I guess the philosophy of as long as “you get yours” then everything is all good and no need to look at the bigger picture- or at least this seems to work for the vast majority of people. But I think if more than 10,000 Tibetan silver bracelets that are all used and in many cases antique are being lied about and sold by exclusively Chinese dealers outside of Tibet- all for a dollar or less though it costs more than that to make- then there is a REAL problem that needs to be looked into that I don’t think refunding me $0.78 cents is going to solve. But it is a selfish sort of solution both the Chinese and Ebay has opted for, and this smaller selfish solution has been working for them for years.

When you are bribed to cover up genocide by being given a dead and/or incarcerated Tibetan’s bracelet for free, you know life itself has been reduced to so very little as that.  The mind boggling point is that they (the Chinese nor Ebay) don’t seem to get that being given imprisoned people’s things for free really isn’t the solution to the problem, it IS the problem.

Note about Feedback comments left by other dissatisfied customers: I purposefully chose ones that support my hypothesis that the Chinese are selling used goods as brand new, and have left out other unrelated negative comments. Many comments that people could have left may have already been deleted because as soon as most sellers see you’ve left a negative feedback, they message you with an offer of a refund if you take back your feedback. They try to manipulate you and make you feel sorry for them- like my family is poor and we don’t make much, I’m in school, and I even had one tell me that they had 5 children, forgetting that the rest of the world knew about their one-child policy (now a 2 child policy) of birth control.  It is very, very difficult to try to argue with them, and they just manipulate you, and keep hounding you until you give in.

Right now I’ve got a seller who has been trying for 3 weeks now saying how honest he is, to try to get me to rescind feedback about used wooden prayer bracelets he was selling as brand new. 3 weeks! And they just keep bugging you, until finally most people would cave in I suppose. So many angry and negative comments could have been covered up again and again in these shops, and no one is the wiser about the goods they continue to sell.
